But when homeowners and short-term rental managers in Central Florida searched for pool service online, The Pool Mechanic wasn't showing up. Competitors with weaker operations were outranking them. The business served multiple markets — residential homeowners in Winter Garden and Clermont, commercial properties, and a fast-growing short-term rental segment that most pool companies ignored entirely. Each market searched differently and needed its own strategy. A single-page website and some Google reviews wasn't going to cut it. They needed a content-led SEO programme built around the specific cities and services they actually wanted to win. And they needed Google Ads running tight enough to produce leads without blowing a limited budget.

What we did

We built The Pool Mechanic's SEO programme around location and service specificity — the combination that drives leads in local services. Service-city pages for every target area (Reunion, Clermont, Four Corners, Davenport, Winter Garden, Celebration), blog content targeting emergency searches and seasonal maintenance questions, and dedicated pages for the short-term rental market — a segment their competitors weren't reaching. On Google Ads, we kept spend focused on exact-match, high-intent searches: 'pool pump broken', 'pool cleaning near me', 'emergency pool repair'. Broad match and irrelevant clicks (pool tables, swimming lessons, chemical supplies) were filtered out from day one. With a budget under $500/month, every dollar had to work. Since tracking began in May 2025, top-10 keyword rankings have grown from 31 to 147 — a 374% increase. The total keyword footprint now stands at 1,111 search terms across Central Florida. Google Ads is converting at $50 per lead, within the target CPA range, with more content going live each month.
